Here are all the fields in Actinic that are available to import into. These are listed in the third screen of the Import Wizard (the 'Mapping' screen - see Importing From A Standard Spreadsheet).
If you don't include some of these fields in your import file, then the imported product/section will use the default values as indicated in the table.
Note: If you change the column headings in your import file to be the same as the field headings listed below, then Actinic will automatically be able to map your data to the correct Actinic field.

Section Text |
Actinic requires the name of a section in order to make sense of the imported store contents. It can either be the name of a new section that you wish to create or one that already exists (if you are updating a store). If it already exists then the products will be added to the existing section. For information about creating sub-sections, see How Does Importing Work?. |

Section Description |
Allows the section to be described. If the 'Section text' field has sub-sections, the 'Section Description' applies to the last section. The text normally wraps at the end of the line. To force a new line, insert '\n' (without the quotes) at the appropriate point in the text. Default: no description. |

Section Image |
Associate an image (.jpg, .gif or .png) with the section. Please see note about image filenames in How Does Importing Work?. Default: no image file (uses global default). |

Section Meta Description |
Meta description of the section, used by online search engines. Default: no meta description. |
|
Section Meta Keywords |
Meta keywords for the section, used by online search engines. Default: no meta keywords. |
|
Section Included In Search |
Actinic allows your customers to search your web site by section name. Default is yes. |
|
Section Hidden On Web site |
You may wish to hide a section on the web site if it is not yet ready or you wish to postpone taking orders for the products. Hidden sections are displayed shaded out the tree for easy identification. Default is no. |

Section Page Name |
Enter a filename for this section page. If you don't supply one then Actinic will use a default
one of the format: |

Product Reference |
Required if you are not auto-generating your product reference numbers. See Product References. |
|
Short Description |
Required if a new product is being imported (but not required during an update - see Updating Existing Products Via An Import). Not required if only a section is being created. |
|
Full Description |
This is the more detailed description of the product. The text normally wraps at the end of the line. To force a new line, insert '\n' (without the quotes) at the appropriate point in the text. Default: no description. |

Report Description |
Enter the text for the 'Report Description' field in the product. See The 'Options' tab for more. Default: no description. |
|
Price |
All prices must be in the lowest denomination for the currency. For instance 5.00 should be written as '500' in the import file. Similarly, 13.50 should be written as '1350'. Default: 0.00 |

Image Filename |
Enter the image for the product. Please see note about image filenames in How Does Importing Work?. Default: no value (uses global default). |
|
Can Be Ordered Online |
This is the field that tells Actinic whether or not the product can be ordered online. 0 - 'Can be ordered online' check box will not be selected 1 - The checkbox will be selected. Default: 1 |

Max Quantity Orderable |
Indicate in this field the maximum order that can be placed on this item. A '0' here will mean there is no restriction on the upper limit (up to 32,767 units). Default: 0 |

Min Quantity Orderable |
Indicate in this field the minimum order that can be placed on this item. The minimum number is 1. Default: 1 |
|
Date Prompt Text |
You can enter the date prompt text at this stage if required. Default: no prompt. |
|
Other Info Prompt |
If you have another request for information then the text for the prompt can be entered in this field. Default: no prompt. |
|
Tax Treatment |
A number in the range 0 to 5 indicates what sort of tax treatment this product receives: 0 = Zero Rated Default: 2 |

Detail URL Or File |
Supply a value for the 'File/URL' field to create a link as part of the product. Default: no file/URL. |
|
Detail Link Text |
Used as the link text for the above link. Default: no text. |
|
Suppress HTML |
This sets the value of the 'Hide on Web Site' field. 0 - 'Hide on Web Site' check box will not be selected 1 - The checkbox will be selected Default: 0. |

Shipping Data |
Normally this is the weight of the product. Default: no value. Uses default value in 'Shipping and Handling' tab (see Product Shipping Details). |

Price Text |
Enter an alternative 'Price' description for this product. Default: no value (uses global default). |

Button Text |
If you are using text for your 'add to cart' buttons, then you can enter an alternative button prompt for this product. Default: no value (uses global default). |

Use External Data Actinic Business/ Designer Only. |
Indicate whether this product is to be linked to an external data source. See Linking To An External File. 1 = Yes Default: 0 |

Stock Checks Enabled |

Product Group ID |
The ID of the discount product group that you want this product to be part of. |

Thumbnail |
Enter the filename (and path) of the thumbnail image for this product. |

Product Type |
The type of product this is: 0 - normal (default) 1 - duplicate 2 - brochure fragment |
|
Original Product Reference |
If it is a duplicate, enter the reference of the original product. |
|
Product Duplicate Index |
If you are importing a duplicate, you can supply a unique number for it. If you leave this blank, Actinic will supply a value. |
|
Linked Item ID |
If you are using the fragment 'Link' feature (or the product 'Advanced Link' feature) then enter the ID of the linked item, e.g. a URL, a product reference or a section ID. |

Link Type |
The type of link that this fragment (or product in the 'Links' tab) is using. -1 = not linked |

Is Linked |
Set this to '1' if you want to use the fragment 'Link' feature, or activate the product 'Advanced Link' feature. |

Fragment Title |
Enter the title of the fragment. Required if the 'Product Type' is set to '2'. |
