'New Products Lists' allow you to create a list of the most recently-added items in your store. This can be automatically controlled by Actinic, but you can also change it manually to remove certain products and add others.
To enable a 'New Products' list in your store, go to 'Marketing | New Products Listing' and select 'Enabled'.

When you click the 'Generate Now' button, the grid at the bottom of the 'New Products' tab is filled with the newest products in your store. You can manually edit this list as follows:
· To change the product that appears at a certain position, you can select an alternative one in the 'Product' drop down list.
· To fix a product as being at a certain position, select the 'Lock' box next to that product in the grid.
New products lists appear in store side bars on most layouts. They also appear on the front page of the store. You can control where these appear with the 'New Products List Location' option in 'Site Options | Layouts'.
In the example store that comes with Actinic, you will also see a section page that contains the new products.
To stop a product from appearing in the 'New Products' list, go to the 'Marketing' tab of the product in question and de-select 'New Products'.
In 'Site Options | Layout' you are given various options for the layout of the new products list. You'll find these under the 'New Products Lists' sub heading in the grid. This includes whether you want a new products list in the sidebars, or the home page, or both, and how you want the list to appear.
To add a new products list to your design (if there is not one there already) you need to insert the 'NewProductsList' or the 'NewProductListSidebar' layout selector.
