Also Bought Lists

An 'Also Bought' list will insert 'customers who bought this product also bought.' lists into your store. The content of this list is worked out automatically based on the content of the orders from your customers.

There are two places the 'Also Bought' list is included:

·      As part of a product design - this will be a list of other products bought by customers who bought this specific product.

·      Within the 'view cart' page - for other products bought by customers who bought the products in the shopping cart. This list will take into account all the products in the shopping cart, but it will be a single list.

To enable 'Also Bought' lists in your store, go to 'Marketing | Also Bought' and select 'Enabled'. The other settings in this tab are explained below:

Field	Description
Number of Also Bought Items per Product	This is the number of items you want to appear in the 'also bought' list that appears as part of your products. This affects how many products appear in the grid in the 'Marketing' tab of your products. See The 'Marketing' Tab for more.
Maximum Number of Items to be Listed in the Shopping Cart	This is the number of items you want to appear within the 'also bought' list on the 'view cart' page of your store. Note that this is the total number of products that will appear in the list - and the list will be made up of 'also bought' products from all the products in the shopping cart.
Generate Now	Click this to populate the grids in the 'Marketing' tab of your products, based on your settings in this tab.
Period of Sales to Process	If you just want to include the most recent sales in the list, then select 'Include Sales from last [.] Days'. Otherwise, you can enter a specific date range by selecting 'Include Sales from [date] to [date]'.
Auto-Generate List on Upload	Select how often you want Actinic to automatically work out the new products. Every [.] Days - The list will be updated on a regular time interval. Every Upload - The list will be updated every time you upload the store. Never - Select this option if you want the list to be manually controlled - and not automatic.

You can now check the 'Marketing' tabs of your products and ensure you are happy with the 'also bought' selection that Actinic has made. You will also be able to manually edit the automatically-generated lists. For more details, see The 'Marketing' Tab.

Excluding a Product from the List

To stop a product from appearing in the also bought lists, go to the 'Marketing' tab of the product in question and de-select 'Also Bought'.

Also Bought List Layout

You can select the layout of the items in the also bought list in 'Settings | Site Options | Layout' (under the 'Product' sub-heading in the grid).

To add an also bought list into your product designs (if there is not one there already) you need to insert the 'ProductAlsoBoughtList' layout selector into your product designs.

To add an also bought list into the store 'view cart' page (although there should be one there already) use the 'ShoppingCartAlsoBoughtItems' layout selector.
