Catalog Maintenance

Selecting this box will disable all store maintenance and upload functionality.

You normally only use this if the store is being uploaded from a different PC.

Order Processing

Selecting this box will disable all order download and processing functionality.

You normally only use this if orders are being downloaded onto a different PC.

Design Changes

Selecting this box will hide the 'Design' menu and the 'Design' tab.

It will still allow upload of the store, and also maintenance of the store contents.

Network Setup

This will block access to 'Web | Network Setup' and the configuration wizard in 'Web | Configure Web Site Details'.

Enable Login and Card Encryption

As an extra security feature in your Actinic application, you can require people to enter a username and password to enter the store. Also, any credit card details stored in the database will be encrypted.

The username for the store is 'Administrator' (case sensitive). The password is 'Administrator' by default, but it can be edited in 'Settings | Change Password'.

Actinic EPOS Link

Some versions of Actinic have the ability to link to the Actinic EPOS point-of-sale software.

Select this box if you would like to link to Actinic EPOS.

Enable Extended Product Description For Customer Reports

If you select this option it will enable the 'Report Description' tab in the 'Product Details' window.

You will then be able to define an extended product description to appear in the Packing List and Invoice reports you generate when processing orders.

Currency

Select the main currency for your store. This is the currency that your orders will be taken in.

Display Prices

You can de-select this box if you don not want prices to be displayed against the products in your online store. The prices will only be shown once the product has been added to the shopping cart.

Use [ ] in Receipt Email

Sometimes, your default currency symbol does not appear correctly on the email sent to customers because of the language settings on the customer's PC. Therefore, the international standard three-character currency name is a safer option

Also Display Prices In

Select this box in order to display prices in a second currency. This affects the online store and the order processing reports. You can then select the second currency from the list.

Only your main currency is used for the actual online transaction.

Symbol

Enter the symbol to use for your second currency.

Exchange Rate

Enter the exchange rate for the second currency. You are responsible for manually updating this figure.

This figure will be multiplied with the main currency price in order to get the second currency price.

Format

Select a format for the display of the second currency from the range of options given.

Show Page Names When Editing Catalog

Select this option if you wish to see the HTML file names of your pages in your content tree. This reference is useful if you need to quickly find any item in your content tree by reference or name.

The files are generated when you upload or when you go to 'Web | Generate Web Site'. They are located in the 'SiteHTML' folder within each site directory.

If you fill in the 'Date' field for a product, then customers can specify a date when buying a product. Use these settings to specify a default date range for the years in the date selection drop downs.
