One Click Order Processing

Actinic's One Click Order Processing feature allows you to 'complete' your orders with a single click of a button. This is an alternative to having to mark each individual item as shipped, and each individual payment as received. Approaches to order processing are discussed in Order Processing Overview.

To Enable One Click Order Processing

Go to 'Settings | Business Settings | Order Processing' and select the box labelled 'Enable One Click Order Completion'.

Underneath this you can select the operations you want to carry out on your orders before they are marked as 'complete'. These are described in the table below:

Option

Meaning

Create Full Payment

An entry will be made in the 'Payment History' of the order for the full amount of the order. You will not need to do this if you are using a PSP as the order will already be marked as received.

Ship All Lines

All the order lines (in the 'Line Items' tab) will be marked as 'Shipped'.

Print Data Entry Report

A 'Data Entry Report' will be printed for the order. These reports must first be enabled using the 'Enable Data Entry Reports' option under 'Report Options'.

Send Email

Send an email to the customer. You can use the 'Email Template' field to choose which email is sent. This email is sent immediately, i.e. it is not queued to be sent.

Email Template

Select the email template you want to use to generate emails for your customers. Click 'Browse' to create/edit templates.

Print Packing List

Print a packing list for the order.

Mark Packing List Printed

Mark 'Packing List' as 'Printed' in the order summary list.

Print Invoice

Print an invoice for the order.

Mark Invoice Printed

Mark 'Invoice' as 'Printed' in the order summary list.

To Carry Out One Click Order Processing

There are two ways to complete an order:

Firstly, you can simply highlight an order and click the 'Complete' button at the bottom right-hand corner of the 'Orders' tab. You can also right-click and select 'Complete' or go to the 'Operations' menu and select 'Complete Order'.

Alternatively, set the 'One Click Completion Toolbar' to 'Complete' by clicking the  button. Then enter the order number of the order you want to complete in the 'Search' field to the right and press 'Enter' on your keyboard and the order will be completed.

You can use wildcards if required e.g. '*99' will complete all orders that end with '99' and 'CD*' will complete all order which start with 'CD'. If there is more than one match then Actinic will allow you to choose the one you want.

The idea of this field is that if you are using bar code scanning (see Bar Codes) then you can scan in an order number from a report and that order will be marked as complete.
