Before an order will be marked as 'complete', all the lines within the order must be marked as 'shipped' (or 'cancelled'). This is done in the 'Line Items' tab of an order.
Note: To view the full details of an order, double-click on an order in the order summary, or highlight an order and click 'View'.
The simplest way to mark an order line as shipped is to highlight the line in the 'Line Items' tab, and then click the 'Ship' button. You can select multiple lines at once by using [Shift + Click]. Alternatively, you can double-click on the order line (or highlight the order line and click 'View') and then change the quantity in the 'Shipped' box.
Once an order line is completely shipped, it is marked with a blue tick.
You can reverse this process by highlighting a shipped order line and clicking 'Un-ship'.
Note: If you mark only a proportion of the lines in an order as shipped, then you will be able to create a 'back-order', which will split the order into what you can ship and what you cannot ship. For more details on back-orders, see Back-Ordering.
Once you have marked an order line as shipped, you can click the 'Mail' button to send the customer an email informing them their order has been shipped.
For more details on generating emails, see Creating Emails In Actinic. To view all emails sent for an order, switch to the 'Mail' tab. See The 'Mail' Tab - Managing The Customer Emails for more.
