The 'Marketing' Tab

The 'Marketing' tab is used to set up how this product will work with the upselling and marketing features that are in 'Marketing | Best Sellers', 'Marketing | New Product Listing', 'Marketing | Also Bought' and 'Marketing | Related Products'.

For more details of the features in the 'Marketing' menu, go to Marketing Overview.

There are four types of marketing features covered in this tab:

·      Best Sellers

·      New Products

·      Also Bought (i.e. 'Customers who bought this also bought this')

·      Related Products

Best Sellers

Actinic can display a list of best-selling products on each page of the store. In 'Marketing | Best Sellers' you can set up a list that is automatically generated and maintained by Actinic.

If you want this product to be included in this automatically-generated list then leave the 'Best Seller' box selected. If not, then de-select it.

You need to regenerate the list in 'Marketing | Best Sellers' to see the effect this has.

If this box is disabled, it is because the whole 'Best Seller' feature has not been enabled in 'Marketing | Best Sellers'.

New Products

Actinic can display a list of newly-added products on each page of the store. In 'Marketing | New Products' you can set up a list that is automatically generated and maintained by Actinic.

If you want this product to be included in this automatically-generated list then leave the 'New Products' box selected. If not, then de-select it.

You need to regenerate the list in 'Marketing | New Products'  to see the effect this has.

If this box is disabled, it is because the whole 'New Product' feature has not been enabled in 'Marketing | New Products'.

Also Bought

'Also Bought' lists are not available in Actinic Catalog.

Actinic can include a 'customers who bought this product also bought.' list as part of the product layout, and also include it on the 'view shopping cart' page.

Actinic can automatically generate these lists, and if you want this product to be included in these lists for other products then leave the 'Also Bought' box selected. If you don't, then de-select this box.

You need to regenerate the lists in 'Marketing | Also Bought' to see the effect this has.

Within the 'Product Also Bought List' grid you can see the products that Actinic will display online for the 'customers who bought this product also bought these.' list for this product.

You can manually manipulate this list:

·      Select different products from the ones generated by Actinic by choosing products in the drop-down lists.

·      To fix a product in a particular position in the list, so it never changes, select the box in the 'Lock' column for that product.

If this box and grid are disabled, it is because the whole 'Also Bought' feature has not been enabled in 'Marketing | Also Bought'.

Related Products

Actinic can include a list of related products as part of the product layout, and also include it on the 'view shopping cart' page. The list is totally under your control - i.e. you decide yourself which products are related to each other.

Use the 'Product Related Products List' to select the products that you want to appear as being related to this product. Select the products from the drop down lists within the grid.

If this grid is disabled, it is because the whole 'Related Products' feature has not been enabled in 'Marketing | Related Products'.
