Certain versions of Actinic have the ability to connect to Actinic EPOS – Actinic's point-of-sale software.
There are three elements to this connection:
· Stock levels are shared between the two applications in real time, so the stock levels on the website and within your retail premises (your EPOS branch database) are kept in synch.
· Prices can be updated within Actinic EPOS and transferred into Actinic (from the EPOS branch database) with a single button click.
· Product details can be transferred from Actinic to Actinic EPOS (to the Head Office database).
To activate the link to Actinic EPOS, go to 'Settings | Business Settings | Options' and select the checkbox labelled 'Actinic EPOS Link' within the 'Access on this PC' area.
This creates a new menu on the main Actinic menu bar called 'Actinic EPOS Link'. It contains the following four options:
· Configuration – for the basic setup of the connection to Actinic EPOS – see Actinic EPOS Link Configuration.
· Transfer Product Data to Actinic EPOS – where you can setup the transfer of products from Actinic into Actinic EPOS. Your connection to Actinic EPOS has to be configured before this option will work. See Transferring Products to Actinic EPOS.
· Reset Actinic EPOS Stock Levels - use this to change all the stock levels in Actinic EPOS to be the same as the stock levels in Actinic. In order for this option to be available, 'Manage Stock In Actinic EPOS' must be de-selected within the 'Configuration' window. See Using Actinic EPOS Link Day-To-Day.
· Refresh Prices from Actinic EPOS – updates Actinic with all the latest price changes from Actinic EPOS. In order for this option to be available, 'Maintain Base Price In Actinic EPOS' must be selected within the 'Configuration' window. See Using Actinic EPOS Link Day-To-Day.
